Testimony by Chris Mahony: In September 2010, Amy Stephenson spoke at our women’s event.  The theme of the day was LOVE and from the moment I walked in the door, to the moment I left, I sensed and felt love on so many different levels.  In particular, as Amy shared her testimony and song, I felt God’s unconditional love for me.  Something shifted in my heart, tears flowed and I was overwhelmed with the feeling of God’s love.  I relaxed and was able to just “be” with God, receive from Him,  instead of being caught up in what I should “do” for God.  I realized I had become disconnected from God’s love by trying to “do” instead of “be”.  Amy gave an analogy about a hairdryer not working if it’s not connected to the electricity source.  I knew I had been trying to “do” – “to work” – without being plugged into my source.  I left that day feeling connected to God, full of His love by the Holy Spirit and with a soft and open heart.
